Atlanta Daily World

Atlanta Daily World (ADW) was founded in 1928, at a time when there was very little coverage of black educational institutions, businesses, prominent persons, churches, or other news of significance. Widely recognized as one of the most influential black newspapers in the United States, the ADW has a rich history of ground-breaking benchmarks. In 1931 the ADW became the first African American daily newspaper and, in 1944, became the first black newspaper with a White House correspondent. It was also the first black newspaper to have its name on a major airport newsstand, with three Atlanta Daily World locations opening at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport in 2009.

Today, the Atlanta Daily World is a digital-only publication with its finger on the pulse of consumer trends providing insightful content on business, politics, education, entertainment, and health and wellness.
