CHICAGO — Police say a man found dead in a Roseland alley is the victim of homicide, reports DNAinfo.com.
Devante Watts, 19, of the 10700 block of S. Langley, was found unresponsive in an alley on the 500 block of East 109th Street with a gunshot wound to the head, said Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.
The Cook County medical examiner's office said he was pronounced dead on the scene at 11:40 a.m. Sunday. Mirabelli said detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.
Chicago hit a grim milestone Thurday when a Belmont Craigin man was killed in Austin, making him the city's 500th homicide for the year.
